i’ve been using a custom icon for obsidian on my macbook for a while now, but this new official logo is FAR superior to that one! thank you so much! keep up the amazing work also, that shuffle button underneath the “customizable” section gives some insanely cool alternative colorways. massive props to the team

Now that we’ve got a new logo (which conveys the sharpness that characterizes obsidian rock) it strikes me that there is something wrong with the font used next to the logo: 945×237 22 KB. I’m not sure whether I just don’t like the font or whether it doesn’t go well with the new logo. I suspect the latter.

2023年6月2日 · Obsidian is an amorphous siluca (quartz) ricvh rock, eg glass, which breaks like the new logo. The old one showed a crystalline structure, which is wrong for obsidian. God dammit Marie, they’re minerals. Idk if this is just me but the new logo looks like an ice cream, rather than a rock.

It will work with any image where the name starts with ‘masthead-fade’. And looks like this. Nice if you want to add a bit of colour to your pages. It’s a bit of a hack, so your mileage may vary.
