Efficient GP grinding is mostly playing custom maps that are a straight line with 8 spawners teleporting enemies onto that straight line, and using one of several farming variations for 30-90 second runs. If you don't have a portal pair yet, you can make the same map with 2 portals at the start of the line (where your tower is) instead.
