The best sources on the 'loths are going to be the original Planescape sources, specifically 'Faces of Evil: The Fiends', 'Planes of Conflict', and 'Hellbound: The Blood War'. I wrote some of the yugoloth and Planescape content for 3.x and one bit in 4e (though most of my published work has shifted over to writing planar content for Pathfinder).

Even if it's true that Yugoloth seems to be made up by two roots, a "Yugo" part and a "Loth" part, it doesn't mean that these two morphemes mixed without adapting their sounds into the final word.
