2016年2月13日 · From what I've heard and experienced, relative results will depend on several factors. First, the quality of the interconnects. There are good and bad Toslink cables, and good and bad S/PDIF (RCA) ones. If you use the latter, make sure the cable (and maybe the connectors) are designed for 75-ohm digital audio, and not for analog audio.

2021年9月21日 · Unfortunately, Schiit no longer makes or sells a Gen 5 USB card and I haven't been able to locate one on Ebay or elsewhere. I'm thinking that maybe I can find a cable or adapter that is USB one one end and Toslink or SPDIF on the other. So far I haven't been able to find one, and I don't know if that would even work.

2019年11月26日 · Toslink got a bad rap back in the eighties and nineties when crappy parts and implementation resulted in nasty jitter. Some manufacturers actually cared and put some effort into it (Chord Electronics comes to mind). Toslink can sound terrific. With a nice glass cable and proper connectors Toslink will pass 24/192 without issue.
