Model S. I completed my first brake job on my 2014 P85+ at 82k miles. I changed out front and rear rotors and pads. The rear set didn’t need it quite yet, but I did it anyway. Bought all the parts required at TireRack for $650 and paid a local mechanic $350 in labor to change it all out. Tesla quoted me $1800.

2023年8月8日 · Still had about 70% life on them. I'm at ~76k miles on original pads. Just had tires done and SC said brakes looked fine. Probably 4-5 times longer mileage wise than a normal vehicle without regen. I assume so, but I hope people post hard numbers. Mine, 2016 Model S is on original brake pads, at 80k miles.

A service center is the wrong place to take the car for things that require someone with a couple days of training to do. This is why it's expensive. This is why we have brake and tire shops.

2024年1月3日 · Thanks in advance! Caliper covers look super fake. They make the rotor appear too small as they make the caliper look oversized. I had tsportline calipers covers on and sold them. Get the caliper painted or just get some Tesla decals from eBay and call it a day. I can’t agree with @snakevenoms1 more.
