Nowadays, the most advanced method for drug discovery is the rational drug design [3,25]. This is the smartest and the cheapest approach of drug discovery. Drug design begins with an identification of a biological target (a biomacromolecule involved in the disease).
In cases where an appropriate biological target cannot be identified or characterized, rational drug design requires a different strategy. This alternate strategy makes use of structural information about drugs that produce the same biological response at different doses.
