2020年7月8日 · Market hunting was done year round and was a way of life for many watermen on the Chesapeake Bay and other water ways. Besides a good punt gun and a boat with a strong transom (for absorbing the recoil), the market hunter needed a very rugged dog to retrieve all the dead and wounded ducks. The dog of choice was usually the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

Model 1897 "Trench Gun" project. Tips? - CMP Forums
10-24-2023, 08:20 PM. The heat shield from the Vietnam era Winchester trench guns will work it the lip on the front of the barrel shroud is milled off. I found one that had been modified and had it installed on a cut down parkerized 1897 shotgun. It did need to have the screw clearance notches milled into the barrel.

I started organizing my hobby room ("hobby room" to the better half, "gun room" to my fellow addicts..."War Room" is a little much until I get a little more loot), built a large workbench, but was looking for a good plan for a gun rack to add to it; there's enough good ideas here to come up with something.

CMP CEO update on Round 5
04-12-2024, 10:46 AM. For those interested in a round 5- From the CMP April 2024 update from the CEO, he said that they received another batch of 10k pistols earlier this year. They're evaluating the pistols in the batch and they expect to announce an update on round 5 this fall. You can read it here.
