2012年1月9日 · On the current design, I basically just copied the way they did the Ranger and Sampson (3/4" round insert inside the end of the 1" shaft), very similar to the Ranger in the pic below. The shaft is welded to the blade in two places, at the flat part of the blade and on the bent flange where you put your foot.

2019年6月2日 · I am 6'1". Pretty stealth as OP requested. I have the Model 58S Little Eagle and I love it (narrow serrated blade). There is also a newer shovel this length with a wider blade, so less plunges to pop a wide plug. That one is the Model 59 The General (wide, non serrated blade).

2012年1月9日 · Yep. The clip just lets the shovel hang on your belt. Goes on and off very easily. I’ve found that it works best with the clip mounted about 6” below the T handle to reduce the swinging effect as you walk. The Raven seems a bit more open, but I would still prefer an even more open geometry and a more tapered profile (top to bottom) for the rocky areas of the piedmont where I dig.

They talked about it for metal detecting and I advised them it was too big and heavy and they claimed they were coming out with a “Junior” version for MDing.
