2015年2月6日 · Now in the OP's sub, it looks like the driver mistook the 4-D for four-wheel drive (4x4) and used it for driving in the snow by putting it on the "4" position. I don't see how this would be harmful to the car since it contains the first gear, but it is def not four wheel drive.

So a rear wheel, 2 wheel drive car will either power the left or right rear wheel, never the front wheels. Although, to complicate things, some differentials can power two wheels at once. This is why some cars burn out and show two sets of tracks (think back to the future flaming burnout) and shitty cars leave one little strip of rubber.
